Commerce, CA – Spring 2023 – Ultra PRO International LLC ("Ultra PRO"), a California-based designer and manufacturer of sports and gaming collectible accessories and tabletop games, announced that “My First Adventure: Finding the Dragon,” received a recommendation from Germany's “Kinderspiel des Jahres” or “children’s game of the year” jury for 2023.
The list of recommended games for the Kinderspiel des Jahres was established in 2001 as part of the Spiel des Jahres, the prestigious awards for all tabletop games in German-speaking countries. The committee felt that it was important to establish a separate category to recognize excellence in games geared toward children.
“My First Adventure: Finding the Dragon” has a choose your own adventure style of gameplay developed to introduce children to role-playing games. Players can choose one of three characters to play in the story. The game is layered with storylines for players to make choices throughout the game that affect the way the story develops. It contains a system of elements and puzzles within each path so that a new adventure is created every time. The honor of being recognized for the “Kinderspiel des Jahres” recommendation is sure to enhance the sales of an already popular game.
